Gary Witzenburg, former General Motors High Tech engineer and division PR exec, will expound on the REAL story behind GM's ill fated EV-1 electric sportster and how that vehicle was the forerunner of the 2-mode hybrid and 2011 Chevy Volt.
As a bonus, Henk Rogers, Pres. and CEO of Blue Planet Software and Blue Planet Foundation, will talk about his efforts to make the plant greener and, of course, the Tesla.
CEO Henk Rogers has accomplished a few things in his career..like putting together and marketing the tetris computer game of which 125 million copies have been sold. Henk also was just named has as Hawaii's top entrepreneur by Hawaii Venture Capital Association for 2009.
We hear he will be offering rides in his Tesla Electric hot rod...the one and only in the islands.

. The Club wants to get a handle on who is going to show up so the Club can arrange the tables and make sure their is sufficient staffing.

Honolulu City Lights - Dinner Meeting
December 15, 2009

We are bringing back an old tradition - The Honolulu City Lights Walk and Brown Bag Dinner
Come out and join us as we walk around Honolulu Hale and downtown Honolulu to enjoy the numerous light displays set up by the City and County. After all it is your tax dollars at work so you might as well enjoy it.
We will start by meeting on the side lawn of the Frank F. Fasi Building (650 S. King Street) and enjoying a brown bag lunch of your choice. You can bring anything from McDonalds to a Philly Steak sandwich. After we have eaten and enjoyed each other's company we will walk from the park up to Beretania Street and head north to Bishop Street. We will then come back on S. King Street to Honolulu Hale to look at all of the Christmas displays and wreaths in the lobby. It is a great event! If you aren't in the Christmas spirit when you get there you surely will be when you leave. There are several great photo opportunities, and who knows we might even see Santa Claus.
Parking will be in the municipal parking lot at the corner of Alapai and Beretania Streets.
Come out, have a good time and get into the Christmas Spirit.

I will have a full kitchen and gas grille available for you to use if you wish to cook or heat up your dish. I will be asking you to RSVP, How Many are coming and What Favorite Dish you will be bringing so we don't end up only eating rice...
Gift Exchange.
If you wish to participate, we ask that you bring a Wrapped Gift between $15-20 per person over 12 years old. It doesn't have to be car related, but please keep it clean since we may be having young olds around. If you plan on bringing a young one, please let me know their Name(s) and Age so Santa can bring them a gift.
In Between Eating.
You can shoot pool, play ping pong, challenge someone to Wii, or enter a Bsing contest with Dennis Shewell. If you have a favorite party game that you wish to share, please bring it over.
